The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, in a post on X, claimed that the Afghan Air Force carried out an airstrike yesterday evening on a strategic military center named “Hamza” in the Faizabad area of Islamabad. According to the ministry’s statement, the attack was carried out using drone aircraft.

On one hand, the situation is worsening due to the war in the Middle East, and on the other hand, the dispute between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Asia shows no signs of decreasing. Both countries are carrying out airstrikes and drone attacks against each other. Once again, Afghanistan has claimed to have carried out a major attack on Pakistan. This time, the Afghan army targeted Pakistan’s Hamza Military Center.

The ministry also claimed that the Pakistani army suffered heavy casualties and significant damage in this attack.

In another post, the Afghan Ministry of Defense stated that the attack destroyed military installations at the site, including a command center, depots, and soldiers’ living quarters. It is worth noting that tensions have been ongoing for several days along the disputed Durand Line between Afghanistan and Pakistan. In the past few days, both countries have carried out several air and mortar attacks against each other.

Pakistan Conducts Airstrikes in Kabul, Afghanistan Claims Civilian Casualties

It is worth noting that just a day earlier, Pakistan carried out airstrikes at several locations in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar. Pakistan claimed that its targets were terrorist hideouts. The operation conducted by Pakistan in Afghanistan was named “Ghazab Lil Haq.”

Afghanistan, however, said that these strikes took place in residential areas of Kabul. According to Afghan authorities, four people were killed and more than 12 were injured in the attacks.

According to the Reuters news agency, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) stated that the attacks in Kabul’s Pul-e-Charkhi area caused casualties and property damage among civilians.
