Ajit Pawar Cremation: Ajit Pawar was laid to rest today in Baramati. His sons, Parth and Jay, performed the last rites, while his mother, wife, and the entire family paid their final respects. Thousands of supporters gathered to bid farewell to Ajit Pawar, and several prominent leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah, were also present during the ceremony.

Ajit Pawar Cremation in Baramati: Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, affectionately known as ‘Dada,’ passed away today. He was given a state-honored farewell at the Vidya Pratishthan in his ancestral village in Baramati. His sons, Parth and Jay, performed the last rites, while his mother, wife Sunetra Pawar, and both sisters, along with the entire family, paid their final respects. Thousands of supporters from across the state also gathered at Vidya Pratishthan to bid farewell to their beloved ‘Dada,’ chanting slogans like “Ajit Dada Amar Rahe” during the cremation.

Several Prominent Leaders Attended the Cremation Ceremony

Ajit Pawar’s final journey began from his residence in Katewadi and covered a distance of 6 kilometers to reach Vidya Pratishthan, where his mortal remains were received. Prominent leaders present at the cremation included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP President Nitin Nabin, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar, NCP Executive President Praful Patel, Maharashtra NCP President Sunil Tatkare, State Ministers Hasan Mushrif and Pankaja Munde, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Chhagan Bhujbal, and Ramdas Athawale.

Ajit Pawar among 5 Killed in Plane Crash

It is reported that on January 28, a plane crash occurred in Baramati, Maharashtra, in which Ajit Pawar, his personal security officer Videep Jadhav, pilot Captain Sumit Kapoor, co-pilot Shambhavi Pathak, and flight attendant Pinky Mali lost their lives. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has stated that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is investigating the incident. Meanwhile, the Baramati police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in connection with the case. During the investigation, the police also recovered the black box of the crashed aircraft, which is expected to reveal the cause of the accident, after which the investigation report will be submitted to the central government.

The Plane Crashed Very Close to the Runway

It is reported that Ajit Pawar had gone to Baramati to address a rally for the Zilla Parishad elections. About 36 minutes after taking off from Mumbai, the pilot contacted ATC, which granted permission to land on runway number 29. At that time, the aircraft was approximately 6 kilometers from the runway. However, as it neared the runway, the plane suddenly tilted to one side and crashed into the fields. The aircraft broke into pieces upon impact and caught fire. Several CCTV clips of the accident went viral on social media. Locals and police from Baramati were the first to arrive at the crash site.
