Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted all the accused, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. After the verdict, Kejriwal became emotional while speaking to the media and broke down in tears. He said, “Kejriwal is not corrupt,” and that truth has prevailed.
In the case filed by the CBI regarding the alleged corruption in the new excise policy introduced by the Kejriwal government in Delhi, the investigating agency suffered a major setback today. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted all the accused in this matter, including former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
After the court’s verdict, when Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia were speaking to journalists, former Chief Minister Kejriwal broke down in tears while talking. Through tears, he said, “I am not corrupt, I am fiercely honest. I have earned honesty throughout my life. This case was false.”
Kejriwal, Sisodia Acquitted in Liquor Scam Case; CM Breaks Down, Calls Allegations False
While speaking to the media, Kejriwal said, “For the past few years, the BJP had been making allegations about the liquor scam and accusing us. Today, the court has dismissed all the charges and acquitted all the accused.”
He further said, “We have faith in the judiciary… truth has prevailed… All the top leaders were put in jail in order to finish the AAP. This entire case was false.”
While saying this, he broke down in tears and repeated, “Kejriwal is not corrupt.”
He said, “Throughout my life, I have earned only honesty. The court has said that Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and AAP are fiercely honest… Come to power by doing good work, and putting us in jail with false cases does not suit the Prime Minister…”
