After the U.S. military action in Venezuela, Trump has directly hinted at launching a military operation against Colombia. It is noteworthy that Colombia is the world’s largest producer of cocaine. Trump alleges that Colombia illegally sends cocaine into the United States.

After the major U.S. military action against Venezuela, President Donald Trump on Monday once again issued a warning of a second attack. Donald Trump said that “we are prepared for a second attack.” He added that if their behavior does not improve, “we will carry out another attack.

Uncertainty continues over Venezuela’s political future. After the U.S. military action, Donald Trump said that the United States would take control of Venezuela. However, when asked about a possible U.S. occupation of Venezuela, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that there is nothing like that under the current circumstances.

A journalist asked the U.S. president whether the possibility of a second operation in Venezuela had been ruled out. In response, Trump said, “That’s not the case. If they do not behave properly, we will carry out a second attack.” Meanwhile, Marco Rubio said that the United States is currently putting pressure on the Venezuelan government through measures such as an oil quarantine and large-scale naval deployments.

Is Colombia next?

Not only that, Donald Trump has also hinted at carrying out an action similar to Venezuela in Colombia. Taking a jibe at Colombian President Gustavo Petro, Trump said that the country is under the rule of a sick person. Colombian President Gustavo Petro had criticized the U.S. military operation in Venezuela. Angered by this, President Trump warned Petro, saying that he should protect his life.

When Trump was asked whether the United States would carry out a military operation against that country, he replied, “I like such an operation.” He said, “Colombia is also very sick, and it is ruled by a sick man. He likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States. He will not be able to do this for very long.”
