Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) Sarsanghchalak, Mohan Bhagwat, has called upon the nation to organize widespread programs on January 22, coinciding with the consecration of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya’s temple. Speaking at the annual RSS event in Nagpur, Bhagwat emphasized the significance of this event, uniting people under the umbrella of religiosity and unity across the country.
In his address, Bhagwat underscored the importance of fostering an atmosphere of affection, responsibility, and goodwill in society through these programs. He regretfully acknowledged the inability of RSS members to attend the ceremony due to security constraints but urged them to contribute to the nationwide celebratory spirit.
Bhagwat cautioned RSS volunteers about the polarized debates anticipated due to the approaching elections, advising them to maintain composure and not succumb to provocations. He encouraged everyone to exercise their voting rights, emphasizing the critical issues of unity, integrity, identity, and national development.
He also highlighted the challenges posed by certain groups, both domestic and international, hindering India’s progress. Referring to them as “cultural Marxists” or the “awakened ones,” Bhagwat criticized their disruptive tactics, including manipulating media and academia to create confusion and chaos.

Bhagwat stressed the dangers of societal division, urging the RSS members to avoid divisiveness based on caste or community. He cited the example of Manipur, where outside forces were allegedly meddling, emphasizing the need for unity and vigilance against such influences.
Moreover, Bhagwat emphasized the importance of embracing India’s timeless values and fostering unity. He encouraged individuals to uphold the culture of Akhand Bharat, emphasizing the shared heritage that unites all communities despite diverse modes of worship.
In his closing remarks, Bhagwat advocated for responsible communication and cooperation with the government and administration. He rejected the idea of victimhood, emphasizing the importance of progress and social unity achieved through collective efforts beyond political competition.
Kolkata’s Durga Puja Pandals showed a glimpse of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple
In a grand inauguration ceremony, Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the illuminated community Durga Puja pandal at Santosh Mitra Square in Kolkata. Amidst the vibrant festivities, Shah expressed his determination to continue his efforts in Bengal without delving into political discussions. He fervently prayed for an end to corruption, crime, and atrocities in the state.

Bhagwat commended the government for orchestrating a successful G20 Summit, emphasizing its pivotal role in elevating India’s global status. According to him, the world witnessed India’s harmonious ambiance and positive spirit, leading to the African Union’s inclusion in the G20 nations. Bhagwat highlighted the discussions on Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and women’s empowerment, indicating India’s unique position on the international stage.
He underlined India’s advancement across various sectors, citing strides in digital technology and the burgeoning startup culture. Additionally, Bhagwat celebrated India’s achievement as the fifth largest economy globally and its remarkable performance at the recent Asian Games.
