Following a spectacular wedding extravaganza in Udaipur, Ira Khan, Aamir Khan’s daughter, and her husband Nupur Shikhare graced Mumbai with a grand reception, marking a night of glitz and glamour in Bollywood.
Aamir Khan, the Bollywood maestro, orchestrated a memorable reception at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). In a rare sight, Aamir posed alongside his complete family, offering a glimpse into the Khan family’s elegance. The family portrait featured the newlyweds Ira and Nupur, Aamir’s son Junaid Khan, first wife Reena Dutta, nephew Imran Khan, sister Nikhat Khan, son Azad Rao Khan, and the Shikhare family. Aamir, Junaid, and Nupur twinned in black bandhgalas, while Ira donned a resplendent red-and-golden lehenga. Imran opted for a classic black tuxedo.
Aamir Khan shared with the paparazzi that his second wife, filmmaker Kiran Rao, couldn’t attend the reception due to illness. Undeterred, Aamir posed with the cast of the upcoming production ‘Laapataa Ladies,’ directed by Kiran Rao.
Veteran actor Jaya Bachchan, in her usual spirited fashion, scolded the paparazzi twice during the event. Anil Kapoor, on the contrary, was seen amicably engaging with the photographers, even inquiring about their unusually quiet demeanor.
The reception witnessed a galaxy of Bollywood stars, including Aamir’s Lagaan director Ashutosh Gowariker, co-star Naga Chaitanya, Dil Chahta Hai director Farhan Akhtar with wife Shibani Dandekar, Dil Dhadakne Do director Zoya Akhtar, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak co-star Juhi Chawla, Taare Zameen Par co-star Darsheel Safary, and 3 Idiots co-star Sharman Joshi.
The event also attracted celebrities like Rekha, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Esha Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, Dilip Joshi, Mithila Palkar, Gajraj Rao, Vipin Sharma, Gauhar Khan, Jaaved Jaffrey, Kiku Sharda, and Manoj Joshi. Notable personalities such as singer Sunidhi Chauhan, music composer AR Rahman, politician Raj Thackeray, and cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan with wife and actor Sagarika Ghatge added to the glimmer.
Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal Khan, who has remained away from the limelight, made a dapper appearance at the reception. Dressed in a suit, Faisal Khan joined the celebration along with Aamir’s son Junaid Khan.
Faisal Khan’s recent appearance harks back to a viral moment a few months ago when he greeted paparazzi with a smile outside Juhu PVR. Dressed in a violet hoodie, Faisal Khan garnered attention with his warm interaction with the photographers.
Last year, Faisal Khan made headlines by accusing his brother Aamir Khan of confining him at home. In an interview, Faisal shared his reluctance to join Bigg Boss, emphasizing his preference for a free life over financial gains.
The star-studded night unfolded as a beacon of Bollywood’s camaraderie, marking the union of the Khan family and Nupur Shikhare in a celebration that will be etched in Mumbai’s glamorous history.
