This month, Apple launched several new devices, including the new M5-powered 15-inch MacBook Air (2026), the M5 Max-powered MacBook Pro (2026), and a new entry-level laptop called the MacBook Neo, which features the A18 Pro chipset. While the Cupertino-based tech giant updated its laptop lineup this month, it also discontinued some Mac products in March 2026, including the M4-powered MacBook Air. Now, the company has also removed the Mac Pro from its website worldwide (including India), suggesting that sales of this flagship M2 Ultra-powered desktop have been stopped. An update for this device had been pending for almost three years. However, it is still unclear whether the company will release a new Mac Pro model.

The Mac Pro (2023) With the M2 Processor Has Been Removed from Apple’s Website

The tech giant has updated the Apple India and US websites to remove the Mac Pro (2023) from its online store. This officially discontinues sales of the desktop, which runs on the Apple Silicon M2 Ultra processor. Now, in the ‘Desktops’ section of Apple’s online store, only the new iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Studio are available for purchase, featuring chipsets ranging up to M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max, respectively.

The company has confirmed that it is discontinuing the Mac Pro lineup. Apple has no plans to launch any new Mac Pro models in the future. With this, the Mac Pro (2023) has joined the list of devices discontinued in March, which also included Apple’s Pro Display XDR, now replaced by the new Studio Display XDR as Apple’s flagship panel.

The Mac Pro (2023) has been discontinued by Apple almost three years after its launch during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 in June 2023. This desktop, powered by the Apple Silicon M2 Ultra processor, was launched in India at a price of ₹7,29,900 for the tower enclosure, while the rack enclosure was priced at ₹7,79,900. With this, Apple also shifted the Mac Pro series from Intel-based processors to its own in-house chipsets.

For context, the Mac Pro (2023) was offered with a 24-core CPU and up to a 76-core GPU. Compared to its previous Intel-powered models, it delivered double the memory and faster SSD read and write speeds. It could be configured with up to 192GB of RAM, offering a bandwidth of around 800GBps. Additionally, this desktop allowed users to connect up to six Pro Display XDR units. For connectivity, it also supported Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
