Once again, the “green line” display issue is being seen in Samsung smartphones. According to reports, the company recently released the One UI 8.5 update, after which some Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S21 FE smartphones have started showing a green vertical line on their screens. However, Samsung has not yet issued any statement regarding these new complaints.
Users are Complaining on Social Media
Some users have reported the “green line” display issue on the social media platform X. Meanwhile, a user named Afeef shared a video claiming that a green line appeared on their Galaxy S23 screen after installing the One UI 8.5 update. In the video, a vertical green line can be seen on the phone’s display.
Problem After the Update
Meanwhile, another user, Abhash Kumar Bhoi, also reported a similar issue on X. He wrote in a post that after the One UI 8.5 update, a green line appeared on the screen of his Galaxy S21 FE.
The user sarcastically added that he updated his Samsung S21 FE and, in return, got a green line on the display.
However, it is not yet clear how many devices are being affected by this issue. But the rising number of reports on social media has increased users’ concerns. Many people are also demanding feedback and a solution from Samsung regarding this problem.
This Issue Has Also Occurred Previously
It should be noted that the “green line” issue is not new for Samsung. In recent years, complaints of green or pink lines appearing on several Galaxy series models have been reported.
However, following this issue, the company had launched a free display replacement program in some countries for affected users, even after the warranty had expired.
